Vahid Tarokh
Vahid Tarokh is an Indian mathematician and computer scientist .
He was one of the developers of space-time codes (STC) for wireless communication systems. More recently, he worked in the field of sparse representation , where he found algorithms that were improved compared to the RLS filter .
Life
Vahid Tarokh received his Masters in Mathematics from the University of Windsor (Canada) in 1992 . He then obtained a PhD in electrical engineering from the University of Waterloo (Canada) in 1995. After his postdoctoral period, he worked for AT&T Labs Research until 2000 . In 2002 he was appointed to Harvard University . At the beginning of 2018, he moved to Duke University .
