Vala Moro

Vala Moro (* 1907 ) was a dancer, painter and graphic artist who worked in Vienna .

Painting and graphics

Her artistic work, which can be assigned mainly to Art Deco , includes erotic , also homoerotic , watercolors and etchings , which were also sold in the USA in the 1930s . Worth mentioning is the work “Dance” published by Artur Wolf Verlag Vienna in 1924, which contains a series of 10 colored lithographs and was published in a small edition of 350 copies. The art collection of Katharina Wolf, Countess Attems , Palais Coburg , which was dissolved in 1933 , contained an extensive collection of works by Moro.

In 1924, Moro danced with Andrei Jerschik in the Wiener Konzerthaus in an extensive program, including the dance drama “The Burning Girl” to Tchaikovsky's 6th Symphony .
