Valdemaras Jakštas
Valdemaras Jakštas (born June 6, 1956 in Sujeticha, Irkutsk Oblast , Soviet Union ) is a Lithuanian politician, mayor of Panevėžys .
Life
After graduating from high school, Valdemaras Jakštas studied mechanics at the Kauno politechnikos institutas in 1988 and environmental engineering at the Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas in 1997 and became an engineer. From 2000 to 2003, from 2003 to 2007 and from 2007 to 2011 he was a member of Panevėžys City Council. From 2000 to 2002 he was the mayor of Panevėžys and then director of the Panevėžys Environmental Protection Department at the Ministry of the Environment of Lithuania .
He was a member of Lietuvos centro sąjunga . Since 2003 he has been a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga .
