Valdo Sciammarella
Valdo Sciammarella (born January 20, 1924 - September 8, 2014 ) was an Argentine composer.
Life
Sciammarella was director of the Buenos Aires Conservatory and choirmaster at the Teatro Colón . He composed numerous songs, as well as chamber music works, piano pieces and the opera Marianita limeña o El divorcio fortuito . In the US, a selection of his songs was recorded on CD by Phyllis Curtin and another in 2008 by Diane McNaron and pianist Heather Coltman .
