Valente Mendoza (born January 17, 1997 ) is a Mexican athlete who specializes in the 400-meter distance .

Athletic career

Valente Mendoza gained his first international experience in 2014 at the U18 Central America and Caribbean Championships in Morelia , where he finished fifth in the Mexican 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 20.59 minutes. In 2019 he took part in the Summer Universiade in Naples , where he surprisingly won the 400 meters in 45.63 s and also secured the gold medal in front of the teams from South Africa and Poland with the relay in 3: 02.89 min.

In 2017 and 2019 Mendoza became the Mexican champion in the 400-meter run.
