Valentin of Viterbo
Valentin von Viterbo († 304 in Viterbo ) was an early Christian martyr and saint .
Valentin was a priest in Viterbo ; according to his Passion he suffered the martyr's death together with the deacon Hilarius under Emperor Maximian on the Via Strata .
In the founding document of the monastery Farfa one the Valentin was first consecrated church mentioned in Silice , now part of Viterbo, stood. Around 880 the bones of Valentin and Hilarius of Camigliano are said to have been transferred to the Farfa monastery . These relics did not reach Viterbo until the 16th century. Memorial Day Valentine and Hilary is the 3. November .
