Valerie French

Valerie French (actually Valerie Harrison , born March 11, 1932 in London , † November 3, 1990 in New York City ) was a British actress .

Life

French spent her early childhood in Spain and then lived in Worcestershire . In 1954 she was part of the BBC department and so came to film, where she made her debut in Maddalena . Early in 1956 she went to Hollywood, where she got her best roles in several westerns . Dissatisfied with the development of her film career, she turned to the stage from the 1960s and played in a number of Broadway and Off-Broadway plays.

She was married to actors Michael Pertwee (from 1952 to 1959) and Thayer David (from 1969 to 1975). Before Thayer David's death in 1978, he and French planned to remarry. French died of leukemia .
