Valeriu V. Cotea

Valeriu V. Cotea (born May 20, 1960 in Iași ) is a Romanian oenologist .

Life

Valeriu V. Cotea is a son of the well-known Romanian oenologist Valeriu D. Cotea . After training as an engineer, he received his doctorate from 1985 to 1991 at the Faculty of Horticulture of the Institutul Agronomic “Ion Ionescu de la Brad” in Iași . During his employment at the Agricultural and Veterinary University of Iași , Cotea took on training and courses there, as well as practical instruction in the discipline of oenology (Faculty of Horticulture) and beverage technology at the Viticulture Institute (Faculty of Agriculture). He undertook research and research assignments on research topics in the field of oenology, as well as leading projects and accompanying diploma and doctoral students.

For his achievements he was awarded the title of Knight of the Romanian Order of Merit and other honors. Since 2010 he has been responsible as a scientific oenologist.

Cotea is the Romanian viticulture president and chairman of the “Oenology” commission of the International Organization for Vine and Wine OIV.
