Valete (born November 14, 1981 in Amadora , Lisbon , Portugal ) is a Portuguese rapper with roots from São Tomé and Príncipe , whose real name is Keidje Lima . He is one of the better-known rappers in Portuguese hip-hop , the hip-hop Tuga .

Career

Valete started listening to rap in his youth and in 1997 founded a group with Adamastor they named "Canal 115". They had different gigs for 2 years until he retired from the music business to study. In 2002 he returned with the album Educação Visual.

In 2006 he released the album Serviço Público.

In 2013 he released his third album Homo Libero , which was actually planned for 2009.

In 2017 he returned to rap and announced a new album and released two singles

Valete's rap is characterized by anti-capitalist texts and reflects views of the extreme left .

Private

Valete was active in a communist youth organization.
