The Valida Holding AG (brand name: Valida Pension Management ) is a 2008 based financial services company with headquarters in Vienna , Austria . The group operates in the business areas of pension funds, company pension funds for new severance payments and consulting for company pension funds and belongs to the Raiffeisen group.

history

The company was founded in September 2008 as Vorsorge Holding AG based in Vienna's 2nd district . In March 2010 the current brand "Valida Vorsorge Management" was established, under which the then ÖPAG pension fund , the ÖVK pension fund and the PlanPension pension advice were integrated.

In July 2012, Siemens sold its subsidiary Siemens Pensionskasse AG to Valida Holding AG. Part of the sale was also the Siemens employee pension fund (MVK) and Sielog Systemlogik GmbH . With the sale the Siemens Pensionskasse AG was renamed Valida Industrie Pensionskasse AG and the Siemens employee pension fund AG acted from now on as Valida MVK Plus AG . Later, the Valida MVK Plus AG was merged with the Valida Plus AG and the Valida Industriepensionskasse with the Valida Pension AG.

At the beginning of 2013, Shell Austria Pensionskasse AG transferred its assets to Valida Pension AG and was then wound up and dissolved.

At the end of 2018, the assets under management of the Valida Group reached a value of EUR 9.4 billion, of which EUR 6.5 billion came from the pension fund and around EUR 2.9 billion from the pension fund. The total number of customers is 2.65 million, with almost 2.4 million the majority being serviced by the pension fund.

For the sustainable investment of the Valida Vorsorgekasse, ethical exclusion criteria are defined in a sustainability concept. The Austrian Society for Environment and Technology (ÖGUT) honors the Valida Vorsorgekasse annually for its commitment to sustainability.

Group structure and investments

The shareholders of Valida Holding AG are Raiffeisen Bank International AG (57.4%), UNIQA Insurance Group AG (40.1%) and Schelhammer & Schattera AG (2.5%).
