Validation of the acquis professionnels

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Validation des acquis professionnels is a procedure that enables the certification of such professional competences that have been acquired outside of the usual education or training courses (see France) or is a so-called "other qualification procedure " to obtain a federal certificate of competence (EFZ) (see Switzerland).

France

In France , such a procedure has been implemented through a 2002 law on the validation of the acquis de l'expérience (UAE).

The basis for the certification of certain competencies is a directory of professional qualifications with corresponding descriptions, which candidates and examiners can use for orientation.

Luxembourg

In Luxembourg , such a procedure was implemented by the Grand-Ducal Ordinance of January 11, 2010 (Règlement grand-ducal du 11 janvier 2010 portant organization de la validation des acquis de l'expérience pour la délivrance des brevets, diplômes et certificats prévue au chapitre V de la loi du 19 December 2008 portant réforme de la formation professionnelle).

Switzerland

The validation of educational achievements in Switzerland makes it possible to record a wide variety of educational achievements in a structured process, to certify professional skills and to obtain a formal qualification. The process is divided into five phases:

Phase 1: information and advice

Interested persons should contact the office responsible for validation (entrance portals) in the cantons of residence. You will receive information about your options for having your professional skills certified and for obtaining a vocational qualification from upper secondary level, as well as the necessary information on the validation process. Advice can be used during the entire procedure as required.

Phase 2: accounting

The balance sheet forms the basis in the process of validating educational achievements. The candidates identify and analyze their personal and professional competencies as well as their general education and document this in a validation dossier. The validation dossier must meet defined minimum requirements in terms of form and content and contains data, facts and evidence that refer to a certain job-specific qualification profile and the requirement profile for general education.

Phase 3: Assessment

Experts from the profession and general education review the validation dossier together. After an interview with the candidate, they give an assessment. The assessment is based on a holistic view and is suitable for adults.

Phase 4: validation

The validation body decides on the basis of the assessments by the experts - which professional competencies are achieved and which requirement criteria of general education are met and issues a learning performance confirmation; - which additional education the candidate still has to complete in order to obtain the targeted degree.

Phase 5: Certification

Certification takes place in the usual structures and responsibilities of basic vocational training. The competent cantonal authority grants the federal title.
