Valentine Pasche , alias Valp (born 1979 in Geneva ) is a Swiss comic book author who lives and works in Geneva .

Life

After studying for three years at the Arts Décoratifs School in Geneva, Valp began her career as a comic book author. She finds her inspiration in fantasy , science fiction and steampunk books and films. Special influences are Star Trek , Harry Potter , Sherlock Holmes and HP Lovecraft . Valp publishes a new sketch on her Instagram account almost every day.

Her first series in five albums, Lock , takes place in the world of the same name. It is a world full of danger, no sky, wild and mechanical. The story is about a group of people who want to escape from this world.

Your second series is called Ashrel and is a medieval fantasy adventure. The first volume was published on May 20, 2009 and was awarded the Töpffer Prize of the City of Geneva on December 4, 2009.

The first volume of their third series, Les Fantômes de Neptune (The Spirits of Neptune) was published in 2015. It is a steampunk adventure set in 1890 in an alternative Europe. In this world science is so advanced that space exploration can begin.
