Vampula is a former municipality with around 1,700 inhabitants in southwest Finland . It is located around 70 km north of Turku in the Satakunta region . At the beginning of 2009, Vampula was incorporated into the neighboring community of Huittinen .

The municipality was formed in 1867 as part of the municipal reform from parts of the municipality of Huittinen and includes the villages Hanhikoski, Harjunkylä, Honko, Horna, Huhtaa, Kotaja, Kukonharja, Kärväselä, Matkusjoki, Murto, Punola, Riittiö, Rutkava, Sallila, Salmenoja, Siivikava, Sallila, Salmenoja, Siivikava Soinila, Soinilan Metsäkulma, Tamare, Pikku-Vampula and Vehka-Alho. The wooden parish church of Vampula was built in 1894 according to plans by H. Rancken; the oldest attested predecessor building on the site is attested to around 1590.

Vampula is rural and extends on both sides of the Loimijoki River . Only around half of the community area is forested, 62 km² are used for agriculture. Like many rural communities in Finland, Vampula has been affected by ongoing rural exodus for decades ; since 1950 the population has more than halved.

Since 1990 Vampula has been in partnership with Käina municipality (merged into Hiiumaa municipality in 2017 ) in Estonia.
