The Vanån is a river in Dalarna in Sweden .
Vanån is about 110 km long. It flows into the Västerdalälven near Vansbro . The river is known in Sweden for the Vansbrosimningen (Vansbroschwimmen), in which the participants cover around 2 km in Vanån and 1 km in Västerdalälven.
Several hydropower plants were built along the river , for example north of the municipality of Mora .
