The coastal town on the border with Tanzania is little developed for tourism. The Limba River , which originated in the Usambara Mountains in Tanzania, flows through Vanga and flows into the sea here. Off the coast is the Kisite-Mpunguti Marine National Park . Near the beach there is an old customs building from the British colonial times of the 19th century, when the place was still called "Wanga".
