Vatersdorf is a district of the municipality of Buch am Erlbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut .

location

Vatersdorf is located about two kilometers southeast of Buch am Erlbach on the state road 2330 in the Isar-Inn hill country . Today it has grown together with the district of Thann .

history

Between 1090 and 1133 an Adalhart von Vaterdorf appears repeatedly as a witness. Around 1147/1161, the noble free Gebolf from Vaterdorf am Ort handed down an estate to Moosburg . Around 1185/1186 a ducal servant named Konrad appears here, while Ulrich von Vatersdorf (1161/1189) was a Moosburg servant.

Vatersdorf belonged to the administration of Zell and, after the formation of the community, to the community of Garnzell, of which it was the seat of the community. The municipality of Garnzell merged on October 1, 1971 in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria with the municipality of Buch a. Erlbach. In 1987 Vatersdorf had 115 inhabitants.
