Vehari (Urdu: وِہاڑی) is the capital of the Vehari district in Punjab Province in Pakistan . It is located on Multan Delhi Road, which was built by the Indian Emperor Sher Shah Suri .
history
After the fall of the Mughal Empire , the Sikhs invaded Vehari and occupied the city. During the time of British rule, the Vehari district increased in population and importance.

economy
Vehari is known, among other things, as the city of cotton. There are dozens of cotton processing plants and cotton seed oil production facilities in Vehari. In addition to the cotton industry, sugar cane cultivation and its processing play an important role. Other agricultural products that are produced in Vehari are mangoes in summer and guavas and other citrus fruits in winter.
