Veini Edvin Kontinen (born February 12, 1928 in Anttola , † February 21, 2010 in Kuopio ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .
Kontinen, who started for Jämsänkosken Ilves, ran at the Lahti Ski Games in 1952 in fifth place over 18 km. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1954 in Falun , he finished eighth over 50 km and seventh over 30 km. In the same year he took fifth place over 50 km at the Holmenkollen Ski Festival and third place over 50 km at the Lahti Ski Games. Two years later he came in Cortina d'Ampezzo in his only Olympic participation in ninth place over 30 km.
