Velberter Rose (formation association TTC Rot-Weiss-Silber Bochum / 1. TSZ Velbert )

The Velbert Rose is a figure from the formation dance , in which the ladies form a closed inner circle and the gentlemen form a closed outer circle with their faces towards the center of the circle. The men slip their upper bodies under the grasped hands of the women without undoing the enclosure themselves. This effect creates a tight circle in which both men and women bend backwards, which has the optical effect of a blooming rose.

history

In the area of Latin formations, the Velbert Rose was first performed by the TSC Kongress Gelsenkirchen (Trainer: Jürgen Zumholte ) at the 1982 World Cup, here still under the name "Gelsenkirchen Rose" or "Congress Rose". The name was given to the TSZ Velbert , as the Latin formation from Gelsenkirchen later founded the dance sports center in Velbert.

meaning

The Velbert Rose is mainly danced in the march in and out, which is not relevant to the evaluation, as it is technically not difficult, but optically very effective for the audience. The figure is sometimes danced in different variations in the standard area, as the effect is great with the swinging standard clothes.
