Veleka Ridge ( Bulgarian Рид Велека Rid Weleka ) is a mountain ridge on Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises over a length of 2.5 km in a north-south orientation in the Friesland Ridge of the Tangra Mountains . Its highest point of 538 m is 4.4 km southwest of St. Methodius Peak , 2.25 km northeast of Barnard Point and 2.3 km north of Botev Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1968. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2002 after the Bulgarian river Weleka .
