Vellocet was a Berlin metal band that was formed in 1985 and split up around 1988.
history
The band was formed in April 1985 by drummer Jürgen “Sgt. Highland “Savior founded. After a few more members had joined the band, the label Vinyl Boogie became aware of the band, whereupon the single Here Is the Warning was released on the Pogar label . This was followed by various appearances in Germany , the Netherlands and Austria . In addition to Heiland, the group consisted of guitarist Michael "Michi" Weindl, bassist Thomas "Heschel" Rickert and singer Jens "Yenn". In 1986 the band recorded their debut album, Captive of Reality , which was released in 1987 via Snake Records . The second album Welcome to Dimension Four was recorded in the Berlin Vielklang Studios in August 1988 and mixed and mastered in the Berlin Musiclab Studios in October and November . The album was released in the same year via Destiny Records , with Christian "Archi C Alert" Pfister being represented on the sound carrier as the second guitarist. The band then broke up.

According to Oliver Klemm from Metal Hammer , the band played a mixture of Thrash Metal and Punk on Captive of Reality , but “not as coarse as Accused or Septic Death , and not as good as Crumbsuckers or Gang Green ”. thethrashmetalguide.com ranked the album similarly, while the band played melodic heavy metal and power metal on the second album .
