Venceslao Nasini
Venceslao Nasini (* around 1773; † December 8, 1831 in Rome ) was an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman, Cistercian , abbot and abbot general .
life and work
Venceslao (also: Wenceslao or Wenceslas ) Nasini entered the Chiaravalle d'Ancona monastery in 1791 , studied in Rome and was ordained a priest in 1800. He taught in the monastery of San Bernardo alle Terme and in the monastery of San Lorenzo in Doliolo in San Severino Marche . From 1807 he worked as a reviewer for the Index Congregation , from 1810 as a pastor in Chiaravalle d'Ancona. From 1818 he was abbot of San Gaudenzio in Rome, from 1820 of Chiaravalle d'Ancona and from 1826 to 1830 (as successor to Giuseppe Fontana ) Abbot General of the Cistercians (successor: Sisto Benigni ). Nasini was from 1819 a member of the Pontificia Accademia di Religione Cattolica ("Pontifical Catholic Academy") founded in 1801 .
