Vendor Independent Messaging
Vendor Independent Messaging ( VIM ) is a programming interface for sending e-mails from Windows applications.
It was developed for Windows 3.1 in the early 1990s by Lotus Software , Borland , IBM and Novell . VIM was subject to the MAPI interface developed by Microsoft and is no longer being developed.
