In the Venus figurines of Kostjonki (also: Kostenki or Kostjenki , Russian Костёнки Kostjonki ) is a larger number of Stone Age representations of the female body. They are mostly made of ivory. The age of the figurines is given as 25,000 to 20,000 years. The statuettes thus come from the Gravettia .

Location

The village of Kostjonki is located in the Khokholsky district of the Russian Oblast Voronezh- on- Don , about 200 km from the site of Avdeevo ( Avdejewo ), where very similar statuettes were found; the rest of the fund inventory is also very similar.
