Verónica Charlyn Corral Ang (born September 11, 1991 in Ecatepec de Morelos ) is a Mexican soccer player .
Career
society
Corral played for the University of Louisville soccer team , the Louisville Cardinals , from 2012 to 2013 . In 2014 she signed her first professional contract with the Finnish first division club Merilappi United and after one season moved to the Spanish first division club UD Levante .
National team
Corral was already in the squad of the Mexican U-20 national team at the age of eleven and took part in the U-20 World Championships in 2006 , 2008 and 2010 with them. In 2011 she was part of the Mexican senior team at the World Cup in Germany , where she played as a substitute in the final group game against New Zealand . Corral also took part in the 2015 World Cup in Canada. After leaving the group stage, she spoke out in favor of a replacement for the position of national coach and was subsequently no longer appointed to the national team by Leonardo Cuéllar . In February 2016, Corral resigned from the Mexican national team.
Private
Corral's older brother George Corral (* 1990) also plays football professionally.
