Vera Begic

Vera Begić (born March 17, 1982 in Rijeka , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian discus thrower. She is 1.69 m tall.

At the Junior World Championships in 1998 she reached twelfth place, at the Youth World Championships in 1999, fourth place. At the 2000 World Youth Championships she was fifth. In 2002 she took part in the European Championships . She finished eleventh at the 2003 Universiade and tenth at the 2005 Universiade. In 2005 at the Mediterranean Games, Begić was third and won the bronze medal. At the European Championships in 2006 , she finished 14th. At the European Cup Winter Throwing 2009 she took first place with a width of 59.27 m. At the European Championships in 2010 , she was seventh.

Begić reached her personal best of 61.52 m on May 1st, 2009.
