Vera Reynolds (born November 25, 1899 in Richmond , Virginia , † April 22, 1962 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American actress of the silent and early talkies era .

Life

Vera Reynolds began her career as a dancer and from 1917 belonged to the group Sennett Bathing Beauties by the film producer Mack Sennett , who always appeared in swimwear and appeared in several short films, mostly comedies. On this Reynolds was able to build an independent career as an actress.

Reynolds had the peak of her career in the 1920s. She mostly played the female lead in more than 70 films of various genres. With the advent of talkies, Reynolds' success slowly waned. In 1932 she ended her acting career.

Vera Reynolds was married to comedian Earl Montgomery until their divorce in 1926. Her second marriage to actor Earl Triplett Montgomery lasted from 1926 until her death. Both marriages remained childless.

Vera Reynolds died on April 22, 1962 at the age of 62 in the hospital of the Motion Picture & Television Country House and Hospital . She was buried in the Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery.
