from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Association of Bavarian Waste Management Companies eV - Circular Economy and Urban Cleaning (abg .: VBS), based in Munich, is the umbrella organization of around 170 member companies in the medium-sized Bavarian waste management industry . The VBS is a corporate member of the Federal Association of the German Waste Management Industry (BDE) and a member of the Association of Bavarian Economy (vbw).

The association is a free amalgamation of private waste disposal companies with headquarters or a permanent establishment in Bavaria , each part being a full member with full voting rights. The association also has private sponsors.

Bodies

The association is represented externally by the president and the two vice-presidents. The four regions Franconia , Lower Bavaria / Upper Palatinate , Munich / Upper Bavaria and Swabia are each represented by two regional speakers. The executive committee, regional spokesman, former president and managing director form the board. Further members can be elected in these by the general assembly.

history

On March 17, 1973, representatives from 48 companies met at the “Zur Post” inn in Gunzenhausen for the Bavarian regional assembly of the VPS (former name of the BDE). Under the leadership of the then VPS regional spokesman for Bavaria, Rudolf Ernst senior, it was decided to separate from the VPS and to found a legally independent association in Bavaria. Almost three months later, on June 16, 1973, the constituent meeting took place in Munich's Pschorr-Keller, at which today's VBS Honorary President Rudolf Ernst sen. was provisionally offered the chair. July 1, 1973 is - because of the entry in the register of associations - the actual foundation date. On November 17, 1973 the first annual meeting of the Association of Bavarian Urban Cleaning Companies took place.

In 1996 the name was changed to the Association of Bavarian Waste Management Companies - Recycling Management and Urban Cleaning. In the office of VBS President, alongside Rudolf Ernst, were Friedmund Mußgnug, Heinz Gehrlicher, Reinhard Büchl and, since 2006, Otto Heinz.
