Association for film communication
The Association for Film Communication is the umbrella organization and representation of interests of the cultural cinemas and film clubs in the new federal states.
history
The association was founded after the fall of the unification of the film clubs of the GDR and after the dissolution of the ZAG film clubs as a film communication interest group (IVFK) as an association based in Berlin and its regional associations. He also took over the awarding of the foundlings prize . The transnational interest group dissolved again after a few years. In the meantime (2015) there are still two regional associations, one in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and one in Thuringia. Both regional associations are among others members of the Federal Association of Youth and Film .
structure
Wieland Becker was the chairperson from 1990, Volker Petzold from 1994 to 1997 and Wieland Becker again until it was dissolved in 2003. The association is a member of the Fédération Internationale des Ciné-Clubs and a member of the Federal Association of German Films eV The association issued the film club courier.
The State Association of Film Communication Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania
The seat is in Schwerin, the office is in Güstrow. The association represents over 40 cultural associations for those interested in film, film clubs and cultural cinemas in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . It organizes cultural cinema programs and film tours with almost 1,000 events and over 20,000 visitors a year. Playback rings organized by the members themselves bring cultural cinema to structurally weak regions. It offers film seminars and film screening courses and supports the development of film cultural venues. The work is almost entirely voluntary.
The association for film communication in Thuringia
The Thuringian Film Communication Association is the regional association in Thuringia , as such an association registered in Erfurt. There is an office in Weimar. It represents ten venues, participates in film festivals such as the Golden Spatz and issues various publications.
