Jaime Aparicio

Jaime Aparicio Rodewalt (born August 17, 1929 in Lima , Peru ) is a former Colombian hurdler and sprinter .

In the Juegos Bolivarianos 1947/48 he won over 400 m hurdles and won silver over 400 m . At the Olympic Games in London he was eliminated in both disciplines in the preliminary stages.

In 1950 he triumphed over the 400 m hurdles at the Central American and Caribbean Games .

The following year he won the 1951 Pan American Games in Buenos Aires over 400 m hurdles. At the Juegos Bolivarianos he defended his title in this discipline and won silver over 200 m .

In 1954 he defended his title over 400 m hurdles at the Central America and Caribbean Games and won silver over 200 m. He also won gold in the 400 m hurdles and silver in the 200 m at the South American Athletics Championships in São Paulo . The following year he won silver at the 1955 Pan American Games in Mexico City.

In 1956 he won the South American Athletics Championships in Santiago over 400 m and 400 m hurdles and won silver over 200 m. At the Olympic Games in Melbourne , he did not get past the first round over 400 m and 400 m hurdles again.

At the South American Athletics Championships in 1958 in Montevideo, he won silver over 400 m hurdles.
