In the interest of a greater variety of providers and more intense competition on the local call market , connection network operators are also allowed to broker internal calls , although their switching service is unnecessary from a technical point of view and has therefore long been controversial, especially in Germany, which is why the implementation of local call switching by the connection network operators is more evident here than in other countries There was a delay .
