Connection carrier code

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The connection network operator code ( VNBKZ ), in Switzerland English Carrier Selection Code ( CSC ), is used to make telephone calls via an alternative telephone company , a so-called connection network operator (VNB) using the call-by-call process.

Germany

The VNBKZ, there also called call-by-call area code , area code or commonly known as economy code , has the structure 010xyor 0100xy, where stands xfor a digit from 1 to 9 and ya digit from 0 to 9. This code must be placed in front of a phone number ; the area code ( area code or country code ) must also be dialed for long-distance or international calls. Local calls with the same area code do not necessarily have to be dialed.

If no VNBKZ is selected, the preselection set in the local exchange automatically comes into effect, which can be assigned separately for local and long-distance calls. Without an explicit order, the operator of the connection is preset. By dialing the test numbers 031-0 (long-distance connections) and 031-1 (local connections), you can check which network operator is used to transfer and bill the calls.

The Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) manages the key figures and assigns them to a connection network operator or subscriber network operator.

Switzerland

A five-digit code that begins with 107xy or 108xy enables national and international connections to run over the network of a specific provider, automatically ( preselection ) or manually ( call-by-call ). The CSC for Swisscom is, for example, 10741, for Sunrise Communications 10707, etc. The name of the provider currently being used (preselection) can be determined using the number 0868 868 868 .
