The Merit Sign of Merit for Rescue from Danger was donated on December 4 and 26, 1850 by the Dukes Leopold IV. Friedrich von Anhalt-Dessau and Alexander Carl von Anhalt-Bernburg and could be awarded to people who rescued another person at their own risk had.
