Emmental Historical Railway Association
The Historical Railway Emmental Association (VHE) maintains historical railway vehicles in the depot of the former United Huttwil-Bahnen (VHB) railway company in Huttwil . The association is a member of IG TR Trans Rail . The relevant railway company TR Trans Rail AG is responsible for the implementation of charter and public trips with the rolling stock of the VHE.
In order to be able to offer regular steam trips on the Emmentalbahn GmbH route from Huttwil BE to Sumiswald BE - Grünen BE ( Ramsei – Huttwil railway line ), the Museum Railway Emmental Cooperative was founded together with the Steam Railway Association in Bern .
history
The association was founded on October 25, 1997 by members of the former Emmental Eurovapor section under the name of United Steam Railways (VDB) at the time. On the occasion of the general meeting in 2005, it was decided to change the name to Verein Historische Eisenbahn Emmental .
