Verena Rossbacher
Verena Roßbacher (* 1979 in Bludenz ) is an Austrian writer. She lives in Berlin .
She grew up in Austria and Switzerland and first studied philosophy, German and theology for a few semesters in Zurich and then at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig . Rossbacher's texts have appeared in magazines and anthologies, and she has also published plays. Her debut novel, Verlangen nach Drachen (2009), was positively discussed in many German-language feature articles.
Verena Roßbacher read at the invitation of the jury chairman Burkhard Spinnen at the Ingeborg Bachmann Prize 2010.
