Ratu Veresa Toma (born August 6, 1981 ) is a Fijian soccer striker .
Career
Tina started his career with Lautoka General. This was followed in 2000 by his first senior position in the top Fijian league with Nadroga FC. This was followed in 2002 by his first international position in the S-League for Gombak United . After a year with Gombak, he left the club and returned to Fiji, where he signed with the Olympian Team. For the club from the Ba District in the Western Division he played until November 2002 and was voted Player of the Year 2003 by the Fiji Football Association . This resulted in a contract in Australia in January 2004 with the Bentleigh Greens. After six months for Bentleigh, he left Australia and returned to Fiji, where he signed on with Nadi FC. There followed three years with Nadi and returned to Australia at the beginning of 2007, where he should now try his luck with the Oakleigh Cannons. In the Victorian Premier League he became the top performer of his team and got a contract with the champions from Papua New Guinea , the PRK Hekari United , in spring 2008 . At Hekari United, however, he didn't really get a move on and returned to Fiji in late 2008. There he played for Navua FC, but stayed again for only six months and moved to league rivals Rewa FC in the summer of 2009. There he found his way back to his old performance and became a high performer. He played for Rewa for two and a half years before signing for Nadi FC with his brother Viliame Dawai in March 2013 .
International
Toma played for years with his brother Viliame Toma in the Fijian national team .
At the 2004 OFC Nations Cup , which was also the qualifying tournament for the 2006 World Cup , Toma was the top scorer with seven goals. His team, which finished fourth, could not qualify for the finals of the World Cup.
