Traffic element

As a traffic element (also traffic unit or traffic object) individual location-changing elements are referred to in traffic science .

These elements can be technical units such as vehicles , aircraft or ships , but also people or quantities of goods. Here, cohesive units like a train from the locomotive and Waggen or pushed convoy of push boat and barges , regarded as one transport element when they are connected during locomotion process.

A sum of traffic elements is called a traffic amount .
