Traffic accident service
As a traffic accident services (VUD) departments are in the police referred to the Record - often fatal - accidents are specialized. The police officers as employees of these special services are specially trained and equipped with special technology. The police in Lower Saxony have z. B. Traffic accident services at the police headquarters in Hanover , Braunschweig , Osnabrück and Oldenburg (each police station ). The police in the Hanseatic city of Lübeck ( Schleswig-Holstein ) also have their own VUD.
The 1st VU team of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia was founded in the district police authority of Cologne in 2005. Since then, 15 authorities have followed suit.
