The Verneukberg is a prominent mountain of the Hunsberge on the right lower reaches of the Fish River in Namibia . With a height of around 857 m, it towers over the Fish River Canyon by around 700 meters. The mountain is located around 30 km southwest of Ai-Ais and around 7 km north of the mouth of the Fish River in the Oranje .
