The Verno ( Greek Βέρνο ) is a Greek mountain range located in the north of the Greek region of Western Macedonia . The highest point of the Verno is the Vitsi with 2128 m above sea level. The mountain range extends for around 25 km from southwest to northeast and around 30 km from northwest to southeast.

Spruce and pine trees dominate the low altitudes of the mountains . The higher elevations are characterized by valleys, bushland and remote villages. In the southwest is the Kastoria lake , at the western foothills flows the Aliakmonas which also drains the Verno.

National road 3 and motorway 2 run through Verno .
