Veronika Eyring
Veronika Eyring is a German climate scientist . She heads the department for Earth System Model Evaluation and Analysis at the Institute for Atmospheric Physics of the German Aerospace Center (DLR). She is professor and chair holder of the department for climate modeling at the University of Bremen .
Life
Eyring received his doctorate in environmental physics from the University of Bremen in 1999 . In 2000 she moved to DLR.
Act
Eyring's research focuses on Earth system modeling and model assessment with the aim of better understanding the Earth system and climate change . She is one of the authors of the Fifth Assessment Report of the IPCC . She also deals with ship exhaust fumes; she stated: "More than 70 percent of ship emissions are generated at a distance of 400 kilometers from the coast".
