Veronika Vitaitė
Veronika Vitaitė (born February 8, 1939 in Šiauliai ) is a Lithuanian pianist and music teacher, professor at the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy .
Life
From 1957 to 1963 Veronika Vitaitė completed her studies at the Lietuvos muzikos akademija with Olga Šteinbergaitė and from 1972 to 1976 the art apprenticeship at the Gnesin Institute in Moscow . From 1989 to 1990 she continued her education at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna . From 1963 to 1974 she lived in Šiauliai and taught at the Šiaulių aukštesnioji muzikos mokykla and at the Šiaulių pedagoginis institutas . She teaches as a professor in the piano department at the Music Faculty of the Lithuanian Music and Theater Academy . She headed this piano chair until August 31, 2009. She works as a teacher at the Čiurlionis Art School and the Balys Dvarionas Music School in Vilnius.
