Deterioration parameters
Deterioration parameters are influencing variables that characterize a qualitative deterioration ( wear and tear ) of a unit (e.g. a property or a machine ). Deterioration parameters are analyzed and determined in the course of maintenance strategies such as the “ Prospective Maintenance Strategy ”.
Deterioration parameters can be assigned to the following influencing variables:
- natural influencing variables (such as wind , precipitation , global radiation , salts , earthquakes , temperature )
- human factors (such as touch , traffic , vandalism , war )
In addition, deterioration parameters result from the quality of the building material (e.g. incorrect manufacture of the material ) and the quality of the workmanship (e.g. incorrect assembly of the entire unit on the building site).
