Altenbögge is the western part of the Altenbögge-Bönen district of the Westphalian municipality of Bönen , district of Unna .

Altenbögge is located in the west of the municipality of Bönen. It forms a settlement unit with the place Bönen and at the same time a district.

The Lütgenbögge settlement also belongs to Altenbögge.
Neighboring communities
In 1950, Altenbögge bordered in a clockwise direction to the north on the municipalities of Nordbögge , Bönen , Bramey-Lenningsen , Heeren-Werve , Derne and Rottum . All of these communities belonged to the Unna district .
history
Altenbögge part in the establishment of offices in the Prussian province of Westphalia to the Office Pelkum in district Hamm . On the occasion of the city of Hamm on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, this was renamed the Unna district in October 1930 .
In 1849 the municipality of Altenbögge had a total of 215 inhabitants. In 1910 there were 3284 and in 1931 4139 inhabitants.
On April 1, 1951, as a consequence of the increasing interlinking of the settlement areas, the municipal merger of Bönen and Altenbögge to form the municipality of Altenbögge-Bönen.
As part of the municipal reorganization, the municipalities of Altenbögge-Bönen, Nordbögge, Westerbönen and Osterbönen (all previously part of the Pelkum Office ) and Bramey- Lenningsen and Flierich (both Rhynern Office ) were merged on January 1, 1968 to form the new municipality of Bönen.
In 1987 Altenbögge had 8,331 inhabitants.

The state road L 665 connects Altenbögge in the north with Nordbögge and Pelkum and in the south with Heeren-Werve, Königsborn and Unna . The state road L 667 leads from Altenbögge in an easterly direction to Freiske , Rhynern , Süddinker , Dorfwelver and Norddinker to Uentrop .
