In 1967, Süddinker bordered clockwise in the south, starting with the municipalities of Wambeln , Allen , Osttünnen , Vöckinghausen and Norddinker (all today to Hamm) and Dorfwelver and Illingen (both today to Welver ).

history

Süddinker part in the establishment of offices in the Prussian province of Westphalia to the Office Rhynern in district Hamm . On the occasion of the city of Hamm on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, this was renamed the Unna district in October 1930 .

On January 1, 1968 the communities Allen , Freiske , Hilbeck , Osterflierich , Osttünnen, Rhynern , Süddinker and Wambeln were merged to form the new community Rhynern. However, this only remained until December 31, 1974, on the following day it was divided: Süddinker moved with the main part of this community (6187 inhabitants, who lived on 44.79 km²) in the independent city of Hamm. The Hilbeck district (9.96 km² with 856 inhabitants) was reclassified to Werl in the Soest district .

The state road 667 connects Süddinker with Rhynern, Dorfwelver, Norddinker and Uentrop . The direct connection from South to North Dinker is interrupted because the bridge over the Ahse between these two places was not rebuilt.

The county road 1 via Eastern and Westtünnen to Hamm. The county road 14 connects Süddinker about Illingen with Scheidingen .

There is no public transport in Süddinker.
