Mark bordered in 1938 clockwise from the west starting with the city of Hamm and with the municipalities of Werries , Braam-Ostwennemar and Berge (all today part of Hamm).

story

When the offices were established in the Prussian province of Westphalia , Mark belonged to the Amt of Rhynern in the district of Hamm . When the city of Hamm was ousted on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, it was renamed Unna District in October 1930 .

Mark had a total of 657 inhabitants in 1849. In 1910 there were 1567 and in 1931 1683 inhabitants.

On April 1, 1939, the community of Mark was dissolved. Of the 5.09 km², 2.38 km² were allocated to the city of Hamm. Braam-Ostwennemar received 1.89 km², Westtünnen 0.83 km².
