Alt-Bönen is the eastern part of the Altenbögge-Bönen district of the Westphalian municipality of Bönen in the Unna district . It is congruent with the former municipality that existed until 1951.

Alt-Bönen is located in the center of the municipality of Bönen. Together with Altenbögge it forms a settlement unit and at the same time a district.

Neighboring communities

In 1950, the former municipality of Bönen bordered in a clockwise direction in the northwest on the municipalities of Nordbögge , Pelkum , Westerbönen , Bramey-Lenningsen and Altenbögge . All of these communities belonged to the Unna district .

history

When the offices were set up in the Prussian province of Westphalia, the former municipality of Bönen belonged to the Pelkum office in the Hamm district . On the occasion of the city of Hamm on April 1, 1901, the district became the district of Hamm. After an area expansion in 1929, this was renamed the Unna district in October 1930 .

The municipality of Bönen had a total of 369 inhabitants in 1849. In 1910 there were 1363 inhabitants and in 1931 3411 inhabitants.

On April 1, 1951, as a consequence of the increasing interlinking of the settlement areas, the municipal merger of Bönen and Altenbögge to form the municipality of Altenbögge-Bönen.

As part of the municipal reorganization, the municipalities of Altenbögge-Bönen, Nordbögge, Westerbönen and Osterbönen (all previously part of the Pelkum Office ) and Bramey- Lenningsen and Flierich (both Rhynern Office ) were merged on January 1, 1968 to form the new municipality of Bönen.

In 1987 the district of Bönen had 6313 inhabitants.

The state road L 667 leads from Altenbögge through Bönen in an easterly direction to Freiske , Rhynern , Süddinker , Dorfwelver and Norddinker to Uentrop .

The district road K 42 begins in the east of Alt-Bönens and leads in a westerly direction via junction 17 of the A 2 , Nordbögge and Rottum to Kamen .
