Bramey is the western part of the Bramey-Lenningsen district of the Westphalian municipality of Bönen , district of Unna . It is rural.

Bramey is located in the south of the municipality of Bönen. Together with the neighboring village of Lenningsen, it forms a district.
Neighboring communities
In 1846, Bramey bordered clockwise to the northwest on the municipalities of Altenbögge , Bönen , Lenningsen , Lünern and Werve . At that time, all of these communities belonged to the Hamm district .

history
Bramey was part of the Rhynern office in the Hamm district when the offices were set up in the Prussian province of Westphalia . On January 1, 1847, the previously independent places Bramey and Lenningsen were merged to form the new municipality of Bramey-Lenningsen.
As part of the municipal reorganization, the municipalities of Bramey- Lenningsen and Flierich (both in the Rhynern office ) and the municipalities of Altenbögge-Bönen , Nordbögge , Westerbönen and Osterbönen (all previously part of the Pelkum office ) were merged to form the new municipality of Bönen on January 1, 1968.

The state road L 663 connects Bramey in the west with Heeren-Werve , Kamen , Dortmund and Castrop-Rauxel and in the east with Flierich and Osterflierich .
