The classified information instruction ( general administrative regulation for material security - VSA ) is a general administrative regulation of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, for building and home . It is aimed at federal agencies and direct federal public bodies ( departments ) that work with classified information, as well as working there people who have access to classified information have to exercise or activity in which they can gain access to classified information.

While personal secrecy is primarily regulated in the Security Review Act (SÜG), the instructions for classified information issued in accordance with Section 35 SÜG contain provisions on the material and organizational protection of classified information.

Previous regulation

The general administrative regulation of the Federal Ministry of the Interior for the material and organizational protection of classified information (VS instruction - VSA) of March 31, 2006 in the version of April 26, 2010 expired on September 1, 2018.
