Insurance industry
The insurance industry refers to an industry whose object is to insure the risks of its customers. Usually the term only includes private insurance. The related economic discipline of insurance economics deals, among other things, with the insurance market .
From a microeconomic perspective, it includes insurers as producers of insurance cover and policyholders as users of insurance cover. In macroeconomic terms , the insurance industry is the aggregate of insurance supply and demand (insurance market theory). From an economic point of view, it can be shown how the insurance affects economic aggregates.
